Counselling & Kinesiology

Hi and welcome to connect4calm.

My aim is to help you become the best version of yourself.  I will support you in working towards your goals and moving forward into your best life. Listening and understanding to your needs and providing you with the tools to implement the changes you need to create the life you desire, whatever that looks like to you.

I believe everyone has the ability to change and grow, and reach their full potential, if given the opportunity.

The meaning behind the name 'connect4calm' is that when we are connected, we have lower rates of anxiety and depression, more trusting relationships, higher self-esteem, along with a stronger immune system, so what's not to love about that!

BUT when I say 'connect', I am not only talking about a connection to other humans, I am also referring to a 'connection' to self (to our body and mind), to our environment and our purpose in life. Therapy can help us obtain these beneficial connections.

Counselling & Therapy Modalities Used

Counselling-  I use a variety of counselling techniques to fit in with your needs and desired outcomes. Counselling modalities include, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-based Therapy and Narrative therapy. My counselling approach is always person-centered, client directed, and trauma informed.

Kinesiology - Kinesiology is a complimentary alternative healing therapy that assists the body to help heal itself. It is a gentle non-invasive modality that uses muscle monitoring to access the Mental, Emotional, Spiritual and Physical state of the body and mind. Kinesiology is the science of energy balancing and is grounded by Anatomy and Physiology.

Issues both Counselling & Kinesiology can assist with

Anxiety, depression, conflict, family attunement, family discord, feeling stuck, feeling unheard, low self-esteem, anger, relationship problems, no motivation, lost a sense of direction, adjusting to change and life transitions, grief and loss, life purpose, phobias, shame and guilt, isolation, physical ailments - muscular and skeletal, food intolerances, headaches, hormonal imbalances, plus more.

So, a little about me.......
